Desi Comedy Fest is the largest annual South Asian comedy festival in America. Our mission is to showcase the funniest South Asian comedians and create a unique live comedy experience for the South Asian diaspora. Now in its 4th year, the 2017 edition presents 40 comedians from diverse backgrounds - India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Iran, Fiji; Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Jewish, Agnostic, Atheist; Male, Female, Straight, Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual. The comedians bring to stage their unapologetic and unabashed experiences, observations and opinions.

The comedians this year come from all over USA, Canada, South Africa, China, Japan, and India, and have been on Comedy Central, Conan, Stephen Colbert, Montreal Just for Laughs, have won competitions and performed on every habitable continent. This year the festival will run 11 consecutive nights from Aug 10 till 20 across 9 Bay Area cities of San Francisco (3 shows), Berkeley, Santa Clara, Fremont, Livermore, Mountain View, Alameda, Mill Valley and Santa Cruz.
